Promoting the entire academy roster hasn’t worked out for Nongshim RedForce, who are guaranteed to miss the LCK Spring playoffs and will likely end the split in last place. However, their best chance to win a game will come this Thursday when Nongshim RedForce meet with another struggling team, Kwangdong Freecs.
Kwangdong Freecs have managed just three wins this split (3-11) with a 32% map win rate (11-23) which is far from great. On a more positive note, Kwangdong Freecs won against Liiv SANDBOX (2-1) last week, which explains why they’re -149.25 favourites with LoL betting sites.
Kwangdong Freecs looked like an entirely different team with strong teamfighting and solid drafting, but there are no guarantees that they’ll perform as well this week. We expect KDF to win, but we don’t expect it to be a 2-0 sweep.

KT Rolster threatened to climb to the top part of LCK standings in Week 6, but then in their fashion, disappointed with two 0-2 losses against Dplus KIA and T1. However, KT Rolster didn’t need long to bounce back and picked up two huge wins against Gen.G (2-1) and Liiv SANDBOX (2-0) last week, which secured them a spot in LCK 2023 Spring playoffs.
Hanwha Life Esports did the same with a strong showing over the last three weeks (5-1). However, over that stretch, they’ve only beaten teams ranked seventh or lower, yet they were no match for Dplus KIA (0-2) on Saturday.
Even though Hanwha Life Esports aren’t to be underestimated, they’ve not looked quite as good as KT Rolster recently and are also 0-1 down in the head-to-head. This could go to three games, but we’re taking KT Rolster to come out ahead.
