After losing to Newbee Young in the first round of the playoffs, the Tigers will have to take on Team Aster in a Betway Asian Dota 2 League elimination match.
The loser goes home and the winner advances to challenge the loser of Invictus Gaming versus Newbee Young.
Surprisingly, the Tigers have survived in this tournament to date and have secured at least a top four spot with abraXas as stand-in for Dendi and Poloson standing in for Xepher.
In the group stage of Betway Asian Dota 2 League, they lost against Invictus Gaming in opening match, then whitewashed both Future.club and Team Amplfy.
While whitewashing Future.club — the squad came to the main tournament through the Closed Qualifier — was nothing to write home about, beating Team Aplfy 2-0 while working through synergy issues was impressive.

abraXas, the temporary stand-in mid laner for the Tigers, is carrying the squad in this tournament with Ember Spirit. The Tigers drafted Ember Spirit three times and he didn’t disappoint, finishing with 14 kills in game one and 10 kills in game two against Team Amplf.
The third time he picked Ember Spirit was in game two against Newbee Young in the playoffs, killing 10 enemies without dying, while reaching the title of Beyond Godlike streak.
Team Aster also drafted Ember Spirit in their games against Newbee Young in the group stage. However, HMX as the stand-in for Team Aster could not perform his Ember Spirit as well as AbraXas.

Team Aster has not shown an ability to counter Ember Spirit coming into this match. They have never drafted any pushing strategy with Lycan, Enigma or Shadow Shaman. We believe this could give the Tigers a big advantage in the draft phase.
