A few weeks ago, reports linked the Belgian with a move away from Team Liquid. They suggested that the franchise were looking to make some changes to their Valorant roster as they looked to build towards the upcoming season.
Aside from ScreaM, the report also revealed that the franchise will release his brother, Nivera. Nivera was linked to possibly signing with French esports franchise Karmine Corp. in September.
ScreaM joined Liquid in August 2020, a year after Nivera made his way to the franchise to reunite with his brother. Both players have always wanted to be a package deal, as they intend to stick together.
Prior to their competing within the Valorant scene, both players had been professional gamers on the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports title. While ScreaM spent a decade on the Counter-Strike scene representing an array of teams including GamerLegion, Fnatic, Team Envy and G2 Esports, to mention a few. Nivera, on the other hand, spent three years on the scene under the banners of top teams like Team Heretics and Team Vitality.
Team Liquid are yet to announce the replacements for both players. However, the franchise are reportedly set to acquire the services of former M3C players Igor Redgar Vlasov and Ayaz nAts Akhmetshin. They have also been linked to the signing of former Guild player Saif Sayf Jibraeel.
Team Liquids current roster will include Elias Jamppi Olkkonen, Dmitriy dimasick Matvienko, and Dom soulcas Sulcas. However, according to the report, dimasick, who recently joined the team in August, will not be on the team’s starting roster in order to make way for the three new supposed signings.
ScreaM made a name for himself in the Valorant scene shortly after starting his career in the esports title. He is known to be one of the most iconic FPS players in history, having been a part of the Fish123 roster that reigned supreme in the EMEA region at the time, together with G2 Esports.
The entire roster was acquired by Team Liquid in 2020. With ScreaM out of the team, soulcas is the only remaining player from the old Fish123 roster left on the team.
