ESB’s free League of Legends betting predictions for Friday, February 2, focus on three LoL Pro League (LPL) 2024 Spring matches in the second week of the split. Check out our selections for Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Team WE, Ultra Prime vs FunPlus Phoenix, and Anyone’s Legend vs LGD Gaming.

NINJAS IN PYJAMAS vs TEAM WE LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: NiP -250 at BetOnline | WE +175 at BetOnline
When: February 2, 2024 | 15:00 CST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

Ninjas in Pyjamas got off to a solid start to their 2024 League of Legends Pro League campaign. In the opening week, they crushed LGD Gaming and Invictus Gaming and looked ready to defeat JD Gaming on Tuesday but fell flat.

It was a tough loss for Song “Rookie” Eui-jin and co. but they had some unfortunate moments in the series, so we shouldn’t overreact to it. Fortunately, that defeat kept the LoL esports betting odds on NiP for this match at an attractive number.

Team WE started the season with a 0-2 loss against Oh My God but got back on their feet with two wins against Anyone’s Legend and FunPlus Phoenix. Not the most exciting results, but that’s to be expected from a team that made several roster changes.

Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team WE still have a long way to go to reach their full potential, and while WE are good enough to compete with any team, they’re still a bit too shaky to defeat top-tier squads like Ninjas in Pyjamas.

ULTRA PRIME vs FUNPLUS PHOENIX LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: UP +273 at BetOnline | FPX -384.62 at BetOnline
When: February 2, 2024 | 17:00 CST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

Ultra Prime enter their final match of LPL 2024 Spring Week 2 with a 0-3 record and defeats against Invictus Gaming, LGD Gaming, and Royal Never Give Up. According to the latest LoL esports betting odds, they won’t have a much easier time on Friday.

FunPlus Phoenix weren’t expected to do well early into the season, and they’ve not surprised anyone with two losses against Team WE and Anyone’s Legend and one win against Oh My God. Their record isn’t perfect, but FPX have shown some good qualities over the three series, which explains why they’re priced as favourites with top esports betting sites.

Ultra Prime are in a rough spot and look like the worst team in the league so far. Still, as +273 underdogs with BetOnline, they’re worth a look. FunPlus Phoenix, while a stronger team, have looked a bit shaky at times, suggesting Ultra Prime could steal a map.

ANYONE’S LEGEND vs LGD GAMING LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: AL -250 at BetOnline | LGD +175 at BetOnline
When: February 2, 2024 | 19:00 CST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

Anyone’s Legend are 1-2 ahead of their final LPL 2024 Spring Week 2 match, with one victory against FunPlus Phoenix and losses against Team WE and Bilibili Gaming. Despite winning just one game, Anyone’s Legend look like there are some things to be positive about.

LGD Gaming picked up back-to-back wins against Ultra Prime and EDward Gaming following their 0-2 loss against Ninjas in Pyjamas and seem to be in a good spot. They’ve looked better than expected, and their mid-top side has proven to be pretty solid.

LGD Gaming still have a lot more to prove, but they’re in good form. With the momentum on their side, LGD are a solid bet to defeat Anyone’s Legend.

The Ninjas in Pyjamas Counter Strike: Global Offensive roster shows that Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz is currently inactive, however, recent reports indicate that he may soon be returning to an active roster.

Dev1ce, one of the most decorated players in the history of CS: GO, joined Ninjas in Pyjamas in April 2021. His transfer was referred to as “one of the biggest in the history of esports” by NIP COO Jonas Gundersen. The value of the transfer was reported to be $1 million.

According to a report, the Danish AWPer player has considered a variety of possibilities outside of the NiP organization. Dev1ce “held preliminary talks with several teams” about having to join an active lineup.

It should be no surprise that organizations are keen on dev1ce given that the summer break in professional CS:GO began today with the start of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022. The summer and winter breaks serve as a “transfer window” for various teams.

Since December 13, 2021, dev1ce has been on the bench. The player announced the conclusion of the previous year that he would be taking a break from the professional circuit. He stated on December 21 that “my mental health has taken a hammering this year,” citing both personal reasons and the tension that comes with playing competitive esports.

The report also references dev1ce’s FACEIT profile, which shows that he has been playing a significant amount of CS:GO recently and may have been doing so as a kind of exercise to get back in shape. Over the last week and a half, he has participated in more than ten games.

Love “phzy” Smidebrant, an AWPer from the academy squad, played with NiP while dev1ce was absent. Despite the replacement, the team missed dev1ce’s ability to carry matches even though phzy performed admirably well.

As a member of his former team, Astralis, Dev1ce made history by being the first player in CS:GO history to win four majors and the first player to win three majors in a row.

It is currently unknown whether or not a team will acquire dev1ce within the next few weeks.

The BLAST Premier Fall Groups Group Stage kicks off with all of the Group A action, where we will be focusing on the first two opening round matches between Vitality and OG, followed by Ninjas in Pyjamas and Astralis. Below are www.academybahamas.com’s best bets for Friday’s CS:GO matches.

Vitality vs OG CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Vitality -138.89 at BetOnline | OG +100 at BetOnline
When: August 19, 2022 | 13:00 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

The first match for the BLAST Premier Fall Groups will be the battle of two top-20 ranked teams in Vitality and OG. Vitality will enter the event as the no.7 ranked team in the world, whereas OG will start as the 16th ranked team in the world.

Vitality have finally swung the axe and made a much needed change to their CS:GO roster, with Kevin “misutaaa” Rabier departing the organisation and being replaced by one of the biggest up-and-coming CS:GO talents, Lotan “Spinx” Giladi.

Vitality have now assembled, what looks to be on paper, one of the most talented and experienced rosters across the CS:GO landscape. They will take a little bit of time to iron out the creases as they learn to play with one another, but Vitality as an organisation will be expecting and hoping for more success in the near future from this roster.

OG have a relatively new roster, as only two of their five players have been with OG for more than six months. OG have already participated in an event since the mid-season break where they finished in 2nd-place at the SteelSeries Nova Invitational 2022, losing 2-0 to FaZe Clan in the Grand Final.

After making some changes and adding three new players over the last few months, OG will be looking for a change of fortunes with some winnable series on the horizon, but this match here may not be one of them.

As we have already mentioned, Vitality has now got the roster to mix it with the very best in the CS:GO world and therefore we will be taking them to win this match over OG at the money-line.

Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Astralis CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Ninjas in Pyjamas -333.33 at BetOnline | Astralis +220 at BetOnline
When: August 19, 2022 | 14:00 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

The second opening round match for Group A will be between the Swedish and Danish juggernauts, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Astralis. Both of these teams are ranked in the top 10 with Ninjas in Pyjamas at no.5 in the world and Astralis at no.4.

Ninjas in Pyjamas have not played in any event since their 7th-8th-place finish at IEM Cologne back in mid-July. The Ninjas have not been at their best so far this year with only one tournament win at the Global Esports Tour 2022 in Dubai. Although they have only been successful in one tournament, the ranking of this Ninjas in Pyjamas roster has been steady, still sitting inside the top five in the world, showing that without winning they have still been around the mark at most events.

Astralis have been slowly but surely grinding their way back up the world rankings after their ranking slipped to no.13 in the world back in June of this year. Currently Astralis sit at number four in the ESL world rankings which is their highest position they have been in since August of 2021.

After showing great signs at IEM Cologne with a 3rd-4th-place finish, we may now be seeing what this new Astralis roster is finally capable of and they are starting to become a scary proposition for many teams around the world, once again.

Both of these teams are going to be looking for a positive start to their BLAST Premier Fall Groups campaigns, and due to the amount of talent on both sides of the server we see this match being very close. We suggest taking the overs in the total rounds market with esports bookmakers at 27.5 rounds, with current odds of $2.

Over 27.5 rounds

Toni Kaski has been recently appointed the new Vice President of Commercial for Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), a Swedish esports organization.

Kaski will be in charge of NIP’s Shinobi Studios, a set of services for sports teams interested in getting into esports. Kaski will also collaborate with the entire NIP’s management team to enable the company to attain a higher milestone.

Prior to being appointed as the Vice President of Ninjas in Pyjamas, Kaski had served as Head of Sales at an influencer marketing agency, Panc, for three years, and also worked co-Selahatin, which is a Swedish oral hygiene company whilst he was working at a Swedish startup Widespace.

Toni Kaski, the new VP of Commercial for Ninjas in Pyjamas, commented on his new appointment. He was elated to have been trusted and appointed to help drive the franchise to the next level.

“NIP is one of the biggest organizations in the world, in one of the fastest-growing industries. It feels incredibly inspiring to join, knowing that I’ll lead us to the next level”

Kaski has expressed his profound gratitude to be working with NIP, which he referred to as one of the most reputable media houses globally. He has also mentioned how he intends to intensify the company’s revenue to a new milestone in the following years.

“NIP is already an incredibly well-positioned media house, ready for rapid upscaling, and our goal is to tenfold our revenue in the next three years,” he continued.

Ninjas in Pyjamas experienced a period of expansion last year. The company announced a partnership with the owners of Victory Five, ESV5, a League of Legends team that participates in the LPL to begin operations in China. Shinobi Esports, an outfit that provides counseling and help to sports clubs interested in joining esports, was formed by NIP in 2021. Albeit, still in late 2021, NIP formed a new FIFA team with Team Gullig.

The Chief Operating Officer of Ninjas in Pyjamas, Jonas Gundersen, spoke about the opportunities that the esports industry offers. He also stated that the industry, which is both global and digital, has explored new technologies that other industries will find difficult to utilize.

“Esports sits on a unique opportunity where it’s capable of leading the charge on what defines the future of marketing activation, fan engagement, and revenue streams. It’s born both global and digital, and already integrates some of the newest technologies that other legacy industries will have difficulties with”

He also spoke highly of Kaski, highlighting the benefits he offers to an organization like NiP. One of which, he stated will help solidify the organization’s position as a modern media house and content creation studio.

“Having a profile like Toni leading the efforts on how to translate this into the traditional media landscape is a perfect fit for us. We’ll take the best of both worlds, and continue to solidify our positions as a modern media house and content creation studio. The future is bright.”

For Gundersen, having Toni on the team will be an edge to the company, being that he has a distinguished working experience.

This match-up starts on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 – 16:00 UTC+8.

Ninjas in Pyjamas and Keen Gaming are set to lock horns in a best-of-three series match-up in Group A of Bucharest Minor.

Keen Gaming was enjoying a nine win streak before they lost against Room 310 on 3 January, 2019. The opponents they defeated in December of last year included Team Serenity, Team Aster, Royal Never Give Up and Invictus Gaming.

To add further credence to their success, Keen Gaming also defeated Team Serenity twice on 23 December 2018 and Team Aster twice on 24 and 27 December 2018.

They also came out victorious over Invictus Gaming on three separate occasions on 24, 27 and 30 December 2018.

Keen Gaming is a team featuring some legendary players including Old Chicken, Eleven and Kaka.

Ninjas In Pyjamas isn’t in great form recently, having two losses against Pavaga Gaming in group stage of Loot Bet Winter Master and Gambit Esport in Playoffs bracket of Weplay Dota 2 Winter Madness.

Ninjas In Pyjamas is labeled as one of the tier 1 team thanks to their roster features 5 star players including Ace, Fata, 33, Saksa and PPD.

Despite that, their lost against Pavaga Gaming and Gambit Esports were disappointing because Pavaga Gaming and Gambit Esports are only labeled as tier 2 team considering their performance lately in Dota 2 professional matches.

Looking at the match Ninjas In Pyjamas played against Gambit Esports on 5 January 2019, Gambit Esports whitewashed Ninjas In Pyjamas without any mercy. Both team made a good draft in game one, while Gambit Esport had a slight advantage in drafting when they last picked Outworld Destroyer to their side.

Ninjas In Pyjamas did not have good strategy to face Outworld Destroyer in laning phase of the game because their core heroes were Tiny, Nature Prophet and Slark. None of these heroes are able to sustain the harassment dealt by Outworld Destroyer in laning phase.

Ninjas In Pyjamas drafted quite bad in game 2, they even tried to play Puck as position four in that game. In the meta of latest patch, we barely see any team is playing Puck as support position in any professional match, that was a bold decision made from Ninja In Pyjamas.

Saksa, the position four player from Ninjas In Pyjamas played Puck in that game and he could not do anything until level six. He was literally being useless in the first ten minutes of the game.

Ninjas In Pyjamas vs Keen Gaming prediction

After running our eye over the drafting abilities and their performance in most recent professional match-ups, we give Keen Gaming a 75% chance to win this match-up.

Our recommendation is to go medium and bet on Keen Gaming to win the game at better than -149.25.
