]]>HEN1 started practicing with MIBR from the moment the team went into talks with Imperial concerning their CS:GO rifler. With the 27-year-old on the franchise roster, the Immortal-owned team now has a dedicated sniper. Breno “brnz4n” Poletto is said to be going back to his old position as the squad rifler.
During his time in the organization, chelo played the role of the teams in-game leader and was the franchise entry rifler. MIBR has yet to announce the next player to step up to the position.
HEN1 is unlikely to be the next leader because, while the 27-year-old is an impressive player, he has never played a leadership role in his entire gaming career. One likely candidate is Jonatan JOTA Wilian. The player has been helping out with mid-round calls for the team so he could be officially designated as the team’s in-game leader.
Prior to his signing to MIBR, HEN1 was a part of Immortal, O PLANO, 00Nation, FURIA Esports, Luminosity Gaming, and more recently, GODSENT. The player is mainly known for his feats in his time with the Immortals in 2017, when he helped the team reach the PGL Krakw Major grand finals. He also had a prolific run in FURIA in 2020, winning several North American titles during the online era.
The 27-year-old reportedly left FURIA in 2021 during the peak of his career to join the newly formed O Plano to play alongside his twin brother, Lucas LUCAS1 Teles. However, things did not go as planned, and the franchise roster was acquired by OONation in September. Both players were benched by the franchise in October 2021, and by the end of the year, they were released from their contract.
The duo went on to play as free agents in a mixed team that tried and failed to qualify for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown and the PGL Antwerp Major. They were in talks to join Red Canids, a Brazilian esports organization. However, with HEN1s move to GODSENT, the deal obviously fell through.
GODSENT brought HEN1 into the team around the same period that one of its star players, Jo?o felps Vasconcellos, was relegated to the background. The addition was made during the ESL Pro League Season 15 period, and the team did not reveal if the roster change was permanent until a few days later.
GODSENTs roster change was imperative after the squad could not qualify for the PGL Antwerp Major Americas Regional Ranking tournament. Its star player, felps, has been an integral part of the organizations lineup since he was signed at the start of 2021. However, the player was handling personal and health issues at the time.
HEN1s stint with the team ended in June after the organization sold off its roster to 00Nation. Epitco TACO de Melo, Bruno latto Rebelatto, and Eduardo dumau Wolker were all part of the sale, and then the team put its CS:GO division on hold till further notice. This effectively placed HEN1 on the sidelines as a free agent once again until his recent signing.
MIBR has been doing relatively well this year. The team qualified for major tournaments like IEM Dallas 2022, as well as IEM Cologne 2022 and PGL Antwerp Major. The new player will debut in the ESL Pro League Season 16 in September. Organizations like FaZe Clan, BIG, G2, and Outsiders are in Group B of the tournament alongside the Brazilian franchise.
