?Suning are desperately trying to improve their seeding for the LPL Spring playoffs, but unless Rare Atom and FunPlus Phoenix both drop their games, the 2020 LoL World Championship finalists won’t be finishing the regular season inside the top six. Regardless, Suning don’t seem like they’re ready to take their foot off the gas as they enter this match off a commanding 2-0 sweep of Bilibili Gaming on Tuesday that effectively denied Bilibili a spot in the postseason.
If Suning can recreate that performance, eStar Gaming will have little to no chance of walking away with anything. Despite the generous match odds on offer for the underdogs at esports betting sites, we don’t feel like that is the way to go here. The kill handicap, however, is a different story.
Suning should win this, but they have no real incentive to smash eStar since a more macro-focused game should do the job. For that reason, we are taking the outsiders with a +9.5 kill handicap for the first map.

FunPlus Phoenix got stomped by Victory Five last time out, but we wouldn’t hold that against them seeing as V5 usually win games where they get on the picks they’re comfortable with. The problem is that V5 haven’t been doing much of that this split, so it’s easy to view them as a weak team (which they aren’t).
Bilibili Gaming suffered a 0-2 loss against Suning on Tuesday where they failed to show anything that would excite us. We had high expectations for Bilibili, but it has become clear that they have no idea how to approach games in which they grab leads – and they definitely have no clue what to do when they’re behind.
Here at www.academybahamas.com, we like our underdogs, but with the way Bilibili have been playing of late, we just don’t feel comfortable taking their side against FPX.

?Rare Atom enter this match off a narrow 2-1 victory against Oh My God on Sunday where they showcased both their strengths and weaknesses. The series started with a classic Rare Atom game – i.e. strong start and soft finish – and while they slipped up a bit in game two, RA got the job done with a complete domination of OMG in game three.
This team is very good in some aspects, but there are games where RA gain massive leads yet still find a way to lose. Although they rarely make mistakes, those errors often cost them the win.
Luckily for Rare Atom, eStar Gaming are absolutely terrible at the moment and only seem to win games in which support Liu “ShiauC” Chia-Hao finds a play in crucial moments. Without him, eStar are easily the worst team in the league, which says a lot. We won’t overthink it – Rare Atom to win 2-0 and cover the map line.

?We talked about how eStar are potentially the worst team in the league, and here we present you with another strong candidate for that title. LGD Gaming might have won 31% of their maps so far (5-11), but the eye test reveals they are flawed in many ways and hardly worth mentioning as a playoff candidate.
Team WE’s swept eStar in their last outing a week ago. While that result is hardly worth celebrating, it’s fair to mention WE’s sweep of FunPlus Phoenix only two days prior.
Even though the betting odds at esports bookmakers are not particularly tempting, we have to take the favourites. The only way LGD can walk away with something here is if Team WE drop the ball, which they rarely do against lower-table teams.

ROGUE WARRIORS vs ESTAR GAMING LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Rogue Warriors achieved the unthinkable on Tuesday when they reverse swept the reigning Demacia Cup 2020 champions and LoL Worlds Championship semi-finalists Top Esports. Although they deserve some praise for their win, it was not so much RW’s strong performance that led to that result but rather Top’s inability to close out the game.
Estar Gaming enter this match off a 1-2 loss against Bilibili Gaming on Monday, which is not necessarily a bad result. Especially if we consider this is a young squad that entered the 2021 season with their mind set on rebuilding their team, rather than competing for the title.
Even though RW’s win over Top does not convince us they’re now one of the top teams in the league, their approach to the game and overall execution was quite impressive. There is a world where RW drop one map against eStar, but we don’t see how they can lose the series.
TOP ESPORTS vs RARE ATOM LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

These sides last met in the Demacia Cup 2020 semi-finals, where Top Esports won 3-1 en route to their first tournament title of the season, so it would make sense to side with the favourites to secure another commanding victory. On paper, that would be the smartest idea, but it’s hard to trust Top after their showing across the last week.
Something is clearly not clicking at Top Esports and we don’t believe they will manage to fix those issues ahead of this match. Rare Atom (formerly ViCi Gaming) might not be one of the stronger team in the league, however, looking at their offseason upgrades and the development of their young players, this team might surprise many – even Top Esports.

]]>The post Rogue Warriors vs eStar betting predictions – LPL Summer 2020 appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>Rogue Warriors and eStar will meet this Wednesday in the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Summer, which will mark their first clash of the split and their second of the year.
Rogue Warriors started their LPL Summer campaign with losses against Top Esports (0-2), Invictus Gaming (0-2), Suning (0-2), Team WE (0-2), JD Gaming (1-2), Oh My God (1-2), EDward Gaming (0-2) and ViCi Gaming (1-2), which saw them tumble down to the bottom of the standings with a 0-8 record and 3-16 map differential.
Nothing seemed to be working for Kim “HooN” Nam-hoon’s crew in the early stages of the split. While Rogue Warriors were still regarded as a dangerous and aggressive team, they somehow always found a way to let wins slip between their fingers.
However, things have started to look up for Rogue Warriors of late. They picked up their first win of the season last Saturday against Dominus Esports (2-1), to which they added two seriously impressive triumphs against LGD Gaming (2-0) and FunPlus Phoenix (2-0).
Rogue Warriors enter Week 8 looking like a brad new team, but they have found their form a tad too late. In order to secure a playoffs ticket, they will need to win all of their remaining five matches. While that would make for a great Cinderella story, we must accept the chances of it happening are very slim.

Nevertheless, Rogue Warriors can be proud of their performance against FunPlus Phoenix. While game one was relatively close, the outsiders stomped the reigning world champions in game two with a +10k gold lead, +18 kill differential and 10 towers to four.
Top laner “Holder” Jae-cheol had a phenomenal game with a 9/7/13 record across the series, which is especially impressive when facing Kim “Khan” Dong-ha (2/10/9). The same goes for mid laner Wang “Wuming” Xin (6/0/15), who outperformed arguably the best mid laner in the world in Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang (5/6/4).
Despite their resurgence, Rogue Warriors are billed as underdogs for their clash with eStar this week. While Zhang “Wink” Rui have shown greater consistency over the course of the split, their overall form is middling at best.
Like Rogue Warriors, eStar sit 3-8 and look almost certain to miss playoffs. Across the last two weeks, they lost to Suning (1-2) and Invictus Gaming (1-2) but managed to edge out a 2-1 win against Oh My God on Wednesday, which was also their only victory in almost a month.
So far eStar have defeated only LNG Esports, Dominus and OMG, which is not something to write home about since all three are among the weakest teams in the LPL.
It’s difficult to find any arguments to justify eStar’s shorter odds for this match. They hold a 40% win rate across the last 10 maps and are 1-4 in their last five series, whereas Rogue Warriors have a 70% win rate across their last 10 maps and a 3-2 series record against significantly stronger opponents.
The betting odds should be the other way around, but we won’t complain about esports bookmakers getting it wrong. Take advantage and back the in-form Rogue Warriors for the win at a great price.

]]>Top Esports will lock horns with eStar for the first time this season in their third-to-last fixture of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split.
To say eStar have looked strong this season would be a massive understatement. Assembled almost entirely from LPL rookies, they have gone above and beyond everyone’s expectations by establishing themselves as one of the strongest teams in the LPL.
Having said that, eStar’s showings through the last two weeks were less than inspiring. After losses to ViCi Gaming (1-2), Royal Never Give Up (0-2) and JD Gaming (0-2), it remains to be seen how they will stack up against a new and improved Top Esports squad that now includes Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo.
We finally got to see the 2018 world champion in action on Monday when he helped his new team to a comfortable 2-0 win over Victory Five. Although JackeyLove’s 2.73 KDA, 8.64 CSPM, 56.6% KPAR and 13.2% KS in that match are hardly groundbreaking numbers, it’s worth noting it was his first competitive fixture since the 2019 LoL World Championship last November.
Top’s 9-5 run is only an extension of their solid performances in the 2019 LPL Summer Split, where Luo “BSYY” Sheng’s squad pocketed silver in the regular season and bronze in the playoffs. The team have been playing well and their consistency against the weaker sides makes them strong contenders for a top-five finish.
The big question is whether Top Esports can match the stronger when it matters most. They have dropped the ball against the likes of Invictus, JD and RNG this season, so they will want to show lot more in their clash with eStar on Thursday and their closing fixture against FunPlus Phoenix next Monday.
Top Esports might be the weaker side on paper, but they have a real chance to prove the doubters wrong here. JackeyLove is still dusting off the cobwebs and will only improve on Monday’s showing, while there is a suggestion that eStar’s young squad are feeling the pressure after three losses in five matches. Top can guarantee a playoff spot and send a message to the big guns with a win on Thursday.

]]>The post eStar vs LGD Gaming betting predictions – LPL Spring Split 2020 appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>After a two-month hiatus, the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) is back. The fourth day of an extended Week 2 fixture will see the young eStar squad lock horns with a struggling LGD Gaming outfit.
LGD Gaming enter their third fixture of the LPL Spring Split with an underwhelming 0-2 tally, which sits them at the bottom of the league standings next to Suning. The fact that those losses came to Dominus Esports and LNG Esports raises some concern about their chances to leave a mark in the LPL this season.
Although LGD Gaming have never truly established themselves as one of the top dogs in the LPL, the renowned esports organisation entered the 2020 season with high expectations on their shoulders following a major roster reshuffle during the offseason.
Joining the long-serving trio of Hu “Yuuki” Hao-Ming, Ha “Kramer” Jong-hun and Guo “Lies” Hao-Tian were ex-Rogue Warriors support Liu “Killua” Dan-Yang, rookie support Pei “Chance” Piao, top laner Chen “Cult” Guo-Ji, mid laner Huang “Fenfen” Chen and former Gen.G jungler Han “Peanut” Wang-ho.
Peanut, who made a name for himself during his time at Rox Tigers and SKT T1, spent much of the 2019 season under heavy scrutiny from Korean esports fans even though he was statistically one of the best junglers in the country last season. Although he is not as good as he once was, his aggressive playstyle should help him shine in a meta that prioritises early-game aggression and champions such as Elise and Lee Sin.
The young and talented eStar are still a huge enigma as no one really knows how strong this team can be. Liu “Lucky” Jun-Jie’s squad got off to a strong start this season and claimed three wins over Rogue Warriors (2-0), reigning world champions FunPlus Phoenix (2-1) and Suning (2-1).
Right off the bat, it’s clear there are some inconsistencies with their results. The fact that eStar defeated Phoenix and lost one map against Suning suggests their win against Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang and co. was a fluke more than anything else.
That said, eStar’s mechanical skill is on an elite level. While they might lack experience, this team is bound to grow into a powerhouse as soon as they find some stability. Until then, however, eStar will most likely continue producing wobbly results.
With eStar featured in this clash, it’s hard to exactly say how the match will end. They could either mechanically outclass the experienced LGD line-up or find themselves in an unknown situation from which they will have a hard time escaping.
The spotlight will be on the jungle matchup, where the 17-year-old Yan “Wei” Yang-Wei will have to prove himself against Peanut. Wei played a pivotal role in eStar’s win over FunPlus Phoenix with his constant pressure on the side lanes, but it remains to be seen if he can play at the same pace as Peanut.
Due to the volatile nature of eStar’s performances, there is a high possibility they might drop a map against an LGD side who will be desperate to pocket their first W of the season.
Some esports betting sites are paying as much as +114 for over 2.5 maps, which is hard to ignore, while LGD Gaming +1.5 maps is offering around -185.19. Both are solid bets, but we will take the higher odds and predict all three maps will be played.

]]>Rogue Warriors and eStar are set to lock horns this Tuesday on the second day of the 2020 LoL Pro League Spring Season, which will see the latter become the 17th organization to compete in the LPL.
The team is co-owned by Liu “PDD” Mou. He was previously a pro player for Invictus Gaming and later coach and owner of Young Miracles, which is well-known for developing some of the biggest LPL stars such as Shi “Ming” Sen-Ming, Gao “Ning” Zhen-Ning, Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang and Zhuo “knight” Ding.
eStar will enter 2020 with four former YM members – top laner Chen “CJJ” Jia-Jun, ADC Peng “rat” Qiao-Yu, support Wang “Alu” Zhi-Yi and jungler Yan “Wei” Yang-Wei. Joining them will be former Royal Never Give Up academy team top laner Yang “Xiaobai” Zhong-He and mid laner Yuan “Cryin” Cheng-Wei, as well as RNG’s former ADC Zhang “Wink” Rui and ex-Flash Wolves support Liu “ShiauC” Chia-Hao.
MORE LPL BETTING TIPS: LGD GAMING vs LNG ESPORTS
We can’t expect ES to move mountains in their debut year in the LPL, simply because they lack the experience and quality to compete with the likes of Invictus Gaming, RNG, FPX and other LPL juggernauts. That being said, PDD and co. carry the potential for growth, which makes them a very interesting team to follow throughout the year.
Rogue Warriors enter this bout priced as huge favourites to defeat the LPL newcomers, which is nothing shocking considering they are an established LPL team and eStar are more or less an academy team.
Looking back, RW’s 2019 season started with a fifth-sixth place finish at Winter Demacia Cup 2018, to which they added a disastrous 15th-place finish in LPL Spring and a 13th-place finish in LPL Summer. RW also participated at NEST 2019 in April, where they finished ninth-16th.
Following a disastrous season, RW decided to completely rebuild their roster. Gone are mid laner Tian “HuaTian” Mai, top laner Jiang “Jiangqiao” Jia-Feng, support Liu “Killua” Dan-Yang, mid laner Zhang “HwQ” Tao and support Xia “Huanggai” Long-Yang, who is now head coach of RW Shark.
As their replacements, RW signed former Victory Five support Le “Ley” Yi, VG Potential mid laner Wang “Wuming” Xin, VSG mid laner Lee “Ruby” Sol-min and former SKT T1 top laner Kim “Crazy” Jae-hee. They join top laner Bae “Holder” Jae-cheol, jungler Chen “Haro” Wen-Lin, jungler Wang “WeiYan” Xiang and ADC Mei “ZWuJi” Hong-Hui.
SEE ALSO: LEAGUE OF LEGENDS BETTING SITES
While it’s reasonable for RW to rebuild their roster after their 2019 woes, we can’t help but wonder what exactly they were thinking. The team currently fields two mid laners, two top laners and two junglers, and it seems like RW will have a hard time deciding which five to put in their starting lineup. At Demacia Cup 2019 they played with eight players, which only further proves the team is in shambles.
Despite the complete roster rebuild, RW seem like they are in for another poor season. They have a solid top lane in either Holder or Crazy, and an OK jungler in either Haro or WeiYan, but they severely lack quality in the mid lane with either Ruby or Wuming – both with no experience in the top leagues.
Even their bottom lane fails to inspire much hope. The support, Ley, has no experience playing in the LPL, having previously played in LSPL and LDL. ZWuJi might have the experience, but he was arguably one of the worst ADC mains of 2019 – and based on what he showed at the Demacia Cup, we don’t expect he will impress anyone in LPL Spring.
The odds suggest Rogue Warriors should have an easy time defeating ES. But while they are the more experienced team, we don’t believe they have any serious advantage in terms of quality. Based on what RW showed at the Demacia Cup, we have a hard time believing they can cover the line against ES.
