The post FaZe & Falcons claim BLAST Premier Fall Finals spots appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>Both teams overcame significant challenges to earn their places, defeating OG and Virtus.pro, respectively.
FaZe Clan, despite recent struggles and early exits in other tournaments, managed to regain form in the Showdown.
After a shaky start that saw them drop a map to paiN Gaming, FaZe bounced back with a convincing series win over the Brazilians and carried that momentum into a decisive victory against OG.
FaZe set the pace early in their match against OG, dominating with a 9-3 half on Dust2 and ultimately winning the map 13-8.
On Ancient, FaZe maintained their edge, securing another 13-8 win to advance to the Fall Final.
The resurgence of key players like Robin “ropz” Kool and Helvijs “broky” Saukants was crucial to FaZe’s success.
Both players, who had been struggling in recent events, delivered strong performances, helping their team secure a spot in one of the biggest Counter-Strike 2 events of 2024.
While questions remain about FaZe’s consistency, their qualification for the Fall Final is a significant step forward.

Team Falcons also faced a challenging path to the BLAST Premier Fall Final but they rose to the occasion.
After an opening win against M80, Falcons had to overcome two of the highest-ranked teams in the tournament, Complexity and Virtus.pro.
Led by Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer and bolstered by the experience of players like Emil “Magisk” Reif, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, and the standout performer Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia, Falcons secured their place in the Fall Final.
Falcons match against Virtus.pro was particularly one-sided.
On their pick of Vertigo, Falcons dominated the first half, leading 10-2 before eventually closing out the map 13-10, thanks in part to a clutch 1v4 from SunPayus.
The second map, Mirage, saw Falcons once again take control with a 9-3 half, eventually winning 13-6 to complete their sweep.
This tournament marked a much-needed return to form for Falcons, who had struggled in recent months.
SunPayus, who had openly discussed his struggles throughout 2024, showed significant improvement, while Snappi found his fragging ability just in time for the showdown.
With three Danish players on the roster, Falcons will be eager to perform well on home soil in Copenhagen.
As both FaZe Clan and Team Falcons head to the Fall Final, they join a lineup of the worlds best teams, ready to compete for glory in one of the most anticipated events of the year.

BIG and GamerLegion last met during Thunderpick World Championship 2024: European Series #1 in April, when BIG won in two maps. But that was before roster changes on both sides, so that result should not hold much weight.
According to the Counter-Strike betting sites, this is BIG’s game to lose, but neither squad has posted great results of late. BIG exited Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024 with a 1-2 record and two losses against SAW and Team Falcons.
In contrast, GamerLegion’s last significant competitive endeavour ended with a last-place finish at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024. Since then, they have picked up a few wins, albeit mainly against second-division squads such as Zero Tenacity, SINNERS Esports, and 1win.
That would indicate Erik “ztr” Gustafsson and co. are in good form, but since they have not beaten any good teams lately, we should give this game to BIG.

Cloud9 have not achieved much since reaching the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 playoffs in March. They did enough to finish top two at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024: European Open Qualifier #2 last weekend, but that came after exiting the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2: European Qualifier in fifth-eighth place earlier this month.
PaiN Gaming have clawed their way to No.16 in the world standings by finishing top eight at IEM Cologne 2024 last week. The Brazilians have looked competitive at the top level for a while, and even though they’ve not beaten any elite teams, that doesn’t mean they will struggle on Friday.
Cloud9’s recent form makes it fair to question whether they should be considered a good team. And while they have enough talent to do better, we must first see it to believe it.

Team Falcons have the potential to do well in this tournament. But even five months after finalising their roster with Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, they are not in the spot everyone expected them to be.
They have had a couple of solid showings, most recently with a grand final appearance at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Summer 2024. Still, the Falcons also placed 9th-12th at the Fall Groups and Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, although most of their struggles have come against the world’s elite Counter-Strike teams.
M80 replaced NRG for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 and seem to be in solid form, yet all of their success this season has come in lesser events. So, while M80 have been winning games, they are not that great when playing at such a high level.

Complexity have a realistic chance to finish top of their BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 group; however, this will not be clear until the next round, when the North American squad will likely face off against Team Falcons.
The expectations on Metizport are far lower. As the world’s No.90 squad, the Swedes have not once this year appeared in a tournament of this scale, while they recently replaced Jack “Jackinho” Str?m Mattsson with Lucas “L00m1” Haukland.
Complexity are not known for their consistency, but they have posted commendable results over the last three weeks, which makes it hard to question top Counter-Strike betting sites and their odds for this match.

Priced at -625, Virtus.pro are odds-on to defeat Zero Tenacity on Thursday. Even though the Russians are on a five-game losing streak, those results came against stronger teams such as Team Liquid, G2 Esports, BIG, Complexity, and Team Falcons.
Zero Tenacity recently ended their losing streak, picking up a few wins over the last week. However, all of their recent games were against lower-rated teams, so it is unlikely the Balkan lineup will manage to translate that success to this fixture.
Virtus.pro should not be losing games like this, nor should they give away too much. Despite their shaky record, VP are still vastly superior and look poised to come out with a 2-0 sweep.

After a disappointing fifth-sixth finish at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, FaZe Clan now have a great chance to win their first significant Counter-Strike esports tournament since IEM Chengdu 2024. According to the CS2 betting odds, they are outright favourites to place in the top two at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024.
FaZe’s journey begins with a clash against China’s No.3 team, Rare Atom, who recently booked a spot at IEM Rio 2024 through regional qualifiers and placed top four at XSE Pro League Season 2. Yet despite Rare Atom’s recent success, they are still one of the weaker sides attending BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024.
FaZe should feel slightly fatigued, as they have had quite a packed schedule this month, and it is unlikely they will have put much preparation into this series. Still, Finn “karrigan” Andersen and co. are 6-2 as betting favourites since the start of the month and should not struggle against the world’s No.81-ranked team.

HEROIC and OG are still without a tournament title this year, yet there is a significant difference in the tiers of competitions they have attended over the last seven months. While HEROIC have played in eight consecutive S-Tier events leading into BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024, OG competed at the top level just twice this year — most recently at the CCT Season 1 Global Finals in May.
OG have recently found some traction, winning five consecutive series at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024: European Open Qualifier #1, yet those came against K27, ENJOY, ARCRED, PARIVISION, and B8, and not one of those displays was very convincing. HEROIC are 4-6 from their last 10 outings, albeit against much more formidable opponents.
HEROIC are rightly priced as favourites, yet they have been dropping series against weaker sides, so there is a world where OG catch them sleeping. An upset seems unlikely; however, at -131.58 with top Counter-Strike betting sites, OG are a solid pick to take a map.

AMKAL ESPORTS enter BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 with only four active players, having recently parted ways with Daniil “Sdaim” Tupov. This is not an optimal situation, but they might have found a replacement in Emil “nota” Moskvitin, who played for the Russian squad in their most recent series against Young Ninjas.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have a stable roster but no notable results to show for it. They are 3-2 from their last five series, which includes a questionable overtime win against FAVBET Team and a 7-13 loss against LEON Esports.
On paper, Ninjas in Pyjamas are the far superior team. Still, their results over the last few weeks inspire little confidence, making AMKAL ESPORTS an inviting outsider pick to at least leave a dent in NiP’s armour.

FaZe Clan are the No.6 Counter-Strike team in the world and enter this tournament as outright favourites to win Group C. However, they have played just two games since the summer break and did not look great in either, beating FlyQuest but losing to Natus Vincere.
Cloud9 announced roster changes at the start of July, adding Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko, Kaisar “ICY” Faiznurov, and Timofey “interz” Yakushin to form a lineup that should be competitive at the highest level. However, we have yet to see the new-look roster play, as Cloud9’s last official match happened at the end of April.
Rust will play a factor in this series, and while FaZe Clan should win, Cloud9 have enough raw talent to push Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024 champions to their limit.

G2 Esports’ new project with Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski and Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa managed to place second at the Esports World Cup 2024 in their official debut. But perhaps G2’s run in Saudi Arabia worked out a bit too well and it could be attributed to a honeymoon phase.
Ninjas in Pyjamas are still looking for their stride, having now failed to claim a trophy in 10 consecutive tournaments. Even more concerning is their fifth-eighth finish at RES European Series #6 just over a week ago.
It is fair to feel dubious about G2 Esports’ ceiling, but it’s hard to justify taking Ninjas in Pyjamas’ side in this contest, even at the offered betting odds.

Virtus.pro acquired a new coach, Andrey “XomA” Mironenko, from 9Pandas in June and have since appeared in one tournament, reaching the semifinals of the Esports World Cup. It was a promising display and a continuation of VP’s solid run at BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 last month.
Team Liquid, like most top-tier teams, decided to make some roster changes this month, adding Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak, Justin “jks” Savage, and ex-Apeks coach Torbj?rn “mithR” Nyborg to the lineup. These additions should make Liquid considerably stronger if the new members gel well, yet there is no guarantee that will happen.
Virtus.pro posted a solid run earlier this month, but it is hard to make any firm conclusions based on just three games played. They should still win, but it will not be an easy match.

The series kicked off on Ancient, which was picked by Spirit, and it was the Russian squad that sprinted ahead to claim the first six rounds and take a 10-2 lead at halftime on their terrorist side.
However, NaVi found their feet after halftime and came roaring back to 9-11, but it would be an eco-round where Spirit claimed an unlikely victory to secure a map point before closing out the map in the following round.
On NaVis pick of Dust2, Spirit started strong again, as they won the opening five rounds before NaVi picked up their first.
Going into halftime, the map was evenly placed at 7-5 in the favour of Spirit, with Dmitry sh1ro Sokolov and Danil donk Kryshkovets leading the way.
Unfortunately for the Aleksi Aleksib Virolainen-led squad, they would make a comeback in the second half to level the scoreline at 9-apiece but would go on to lose the next four rounds and go down 0-2 in the series.
With their tournament lives on the line, Natus Vincere headed to Spirit’s second map pick of Mirage, and it was do-or-die for the world number six.
Whatever Andrey B1ad3 Gorodenskiy said to his team in between maps two and three appeared to have resonated with the squad, as NaVi came out firing early and won the first nine rounds before taking a 10-2 halftime lead following a near-flawless counter-terrorist side.
It only took the Copenhagen Major champions five rounds to close out the map and take the series score to 2-1 heading into their map pick of Nuke.
Although NaVi opened with a 3-1 lead on their terrorist side, it would be donk and Myroslav zont1x Plakhotia that would pull Spirit back into the contest and secure a hard-fought 7-5 halftime advantage.
That momentum continued for Spirit, and they only needed seven rounds to close out the series with a 13-6 scoreline on the fourth and final map.

Team Liquid enter BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 fresh off a disappointing run at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 American RMR, where they crashed out in seventh place and missed their chance to qualify for the upcoming Major.
On the other side, SAW finished the European RMR in sixth-eighth place with wins against Ninjas in Pyjamas, ENTERPRISE, and Fnatic, so they will be travelling to Copenhagen. Even though SAW didn’t have to play any great teams last month, they have performed well to go 8-3 since the start of February.
Counter-Strike betting sites have priced Team Liquid as favourites for this series, and even though Liquid have a higher ceiling, they are in bad form. This looks closer to a 50-50 match, so at the offered Counter-Strike betting odds, SAW is a much better pick.

Complexity secured their ticket for PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 on Monday when they defeated Team Liquid in the final round of the American RMR. Before that, they suffered early exits from BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024 and Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024, so Complexity still have a lot to prove.
OG have not been competitive for a while now, and the recent departure of coach Casper “ruggah” Due to Astralis won’t help. OG have not won a tournament since BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022, and they enter the Spring Showdown with just one win from their last six series.
OG are not only in bad form, but they also don’t have the talent to compete at the highest level. Complexity aren’t perfect either, as they rely too much on Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski to do all the heavy lifting. Still, they’re in a much better spot than OG and should come away with a comfortable win.

Over the last two weeks, Monte have lost Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev and Alexander “br0” Bro without confirming full-time replacements. Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen could step in for the team again this week, and while there are other solid options at their disposal, losing sdy and br0 will be noticeable.
Imperial Esports are not expected to make it far at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, although their recent form is solid. The Brazilian side won Ace South American Masters Spring 2024 at the start of February and last weekend added a gold medal from the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 American RMR.
Imperial’s recent success is largely thanks to Henrique “HEN1” Teles. The 28-year-old averaged a 1.62 performance rating at the American RMR; however, his teammates Kaiky “noway” Santos (1.47) and Jo?o “felps” Vasconcellos (1.45) weren’t too far behind.
Monte were very competitive in the second half of 2023, but after seeing them lose two key players, it’s tough to feel optimistic about their chances to do well at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024.
