The acquisition of 24-year old star player has brought him to the same roster as fellow Korean superstar Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong as they both compete in the LPL.
This dynamic mid-jungle duo will be responsible for leading and guiding the younger, less experienced members of their team as they strive to reach the playoffs and achieve success at international events.
With a track record of playoff appearances and invitations to the Mid-Season Invitational and World Championship, Scout is a formidable mid lane leader. His most impressive accomplishment to date is winning the 2021 Summoner’s Cup, along with the Finals MVP award.
Scout, who is one of League of Legends‘ most talented players, will be joining LNG having spent six years with EDward Gaming. While he remains within the League of Legends Pro League, he will be embarking on a new competitive journey in 2023 as the leader of the relatively young LNG roster.
With Scout officially joining LNG Esports today, this will be his third team in his professional career which commenced in 2015. Prior to joining EDward Gaming, he started out as a trainee with SK Telecom T1, where he spent about a year.
During the past year, EDG were defeated by DRX in the World Championship. Despite this, Scout managed to achieve the third-highest average damage to champions and the fourth-highest number of kills among players in his role at the main stage of the tournament, according to Oracle’s Elixir, a stats aggregator for League of Legends.
Additionally, Scout has demonstrated proficiency with a diverse range of champions, including 13 different champions in the Summer Split, which makes him one of the most versatile players in the league.
For Scout to achieve success with the new lineup, he will need to significantly improve his play. If he and Tarzan can quickly develop strong chemistry, LNG have the potential to surprise many and make a strong showing in the 2023 LPL Spring Split playoffs.
The acquisition of Scout is a major coup for LNG Esports, as they will now have one of the most formidable lineups in the world. With the Korean on board, LNG will be a top contender in the upcoming season and will be looking to make a strong showing at international tournaments.
Fans of LNG Esports and the competitive League of Legends scene are eager to see how Scout performs in his new role. His addition to the team is sure to add even more excitement to an already competitive and exciting esports scene.
Overall, it will be interesting to see how he fits in with the rest of the team. With his exceptional skill and experience, there is no doubt that he will be a valuable asset to LNG as they look to achieve even greater success in the competitive League of Legends scene.
LNG’s complete roster includes bot laner LP, Tarzan in the jungle position, top laners Qi “PandaC” Xin and Tang “Zika” Huayu, mid laners Zhang “Yuekai” Yuekai and Scout, alongside supports Fu “Hang” Minghang and Xin (substitute). Head coach Wang “YiL” Liangyi, and assistant coaches Zeng “U” Loong and Chang “Poppy” Po-hao, will continue in their roles for the 2023 LPL season.
